Job Title: Sustainability Consultant – Australia/Asia Pacific

Location:   Australia and APAC based projects (remote flexibility, regional collaboration)

Reporting to:  Senior Project Lead or Director of Delivery

About the role

Nyawi is seeking a Sustainability Consultant to work across a diverse portfolio – from major infrastructure to education, tourism, and community projects. You will deliver strategic sustainability advice, develop decarbonisation pathways, and design solutions grounded in both Indigenous knowledge and cutting-edge science..

Key responsibilities

• Conduct materiality assessments and sustainability strategies

• Engage stakeholders to embed sustainability goals into operations

• Draft clear, actionable reports and presentations for clients

• Stay up to date with global and Australian ESG trends and policy

• Contribute to our innovative, multidisciplinary team culture

Candidate requirements

• 2+ years’ experience in sustainability consulting or advisory

• Strong project management and communication skills

• A systems thinker who thrives in complex problem solving

• Passionate about creating impact for people and planet
