Job Title: Electrical Engineer - Solar & Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)

Location:   Australia and APAC based projects (remote flexibility, regional collaboration)

Reporting to:  Senior Project Lead or Director of Delivery

About the role

We’re looking for a passionate and capable Electrical Engineer who can support the design, review, and technical delivery of Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) for commercial, industrial, and community clients. You’ll work closely with our sustainability and delivery teams to ensure all systems are safe, optimised, and scalable.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and review SLDs, string layouts, and electrical designs for PV + BESS

• Perform technical due diligence and system sizing

• Support compliance with Australian standards and grid connection requirements

• Contribute to tender submissions and technical documentation

• Liaise with partners, contractors, and suppliers across multiple projects

Candidate requirements

• Electrical engineering qualification with solar/BESS project experience

• Proficient in tools such as PVSyst, Helioscope, AutoCAD, Orkestra or similar

• Knowledge of AS/NZS standards and clean energy system design

• Detail-oriented but also able to see the big picture of impact

• Values-led, innovative, and proactive in a remote-first working environment
